What You Need To Know
Microblading & Powder Brow
Q: What is the difference between microblading and the powder brow?
A: Microblading is often considered a type of permanent makeup, however, the concept is different. The ink is deposited with a manual pen, the super fine needle blade allows the technician to draw crisp, thin, and natural looking hairs on the first dermal layer of the skin. The results often last from 1-3 years depending on the clients skin.
The Powder Brow is achieved by using a small machine which dispenses extremely fine dots of pigment evenly onto and across the skin in an airbrush or shading technique. This creates a more “filled in” brow look. Depending on the skin type and lifestyle of the client, powder brows can last on average from 2-3 years.
With both the microblading and powder brow, you can create a natural to a more dramatic look depending on what the client prefers.
Q: Is there any pain to either of these treatments?
A: There is minimal to no pain during these treatments. We use a medical grade numbing cream and also an open wound numbing solution.
Q: Will I need a touch up?
A: Yes. We will schedule your 6 week touch up appointment during your initial appointment. Skin takes 6 weeks to heal and at that time, we will see if there are any areas where we may need to darker or fill in. Once you have this touch up, you will be good for awhile! There is a fee for any touch up appointments.
Q: What will my brows look like while they are healing?
A: There are many healing stages your brows will go through. Day 1 - Loving your brows! Day 2-5 - Wow, these are really dark. Day 6-10 - My brows are flaking and the shape is off! Day 11-15 - My brows are gone. Day 16-30 - Looking better!! Touch Up - Yes!!! I am so in love with my brows!!!
